Childcare Information and Additional Needs
Settling In
- How will you help children to settle into your setting?
- Visits are always welcome, parents have the opportunity to look around during a session and ask any questions they may have. We can also offer pre-start sessions wher a parent and child can come along and join in with sessions before they actually start. Settling in procedures are discussed and agreed with parents to suit each individual child and their needs. Parents are welcome to stay at the start of sessions until their child is settled and we may also offer shorter sessions, later start times, earlier finish times etc if these are appropriate.
Progress
- How will you communicate with parents/carers about their child's progress?
- Every child is assigned a Key Person who will guide your child through their early days with us, getting to know them and their family. We use an online app to share observations with parents, parents can also use the app to send in observations about things the children have done at home. We have 2 parents evenings a year and key persons are usually available at the start and end of sessions if parents wish to talk to them.
