Care Home Companion

Our highly experienced, police checked Companions go into care homes to provide 1-2-1 social support to those who are seeking this instead of group activities, many homes cannot offer their staff to you for most personalised activities. The aim is to revitalise old hobbies or help you do what you really want to do. For instance, one person is taken sailing, one just wants to walk and walk in the park, another loves going out for Chinese meals and another cannot get to their old club in the community without a Companion. This becomes a special relationship over time as it is always the same person. The Companion will also take the person for hospital appointments and advocate for them while there if the full range of services are not being offered as they might have dementia.
