I am a professional childminder providing a home from home setting that is safe, fun and exciting where children can learn through play. I am a married mum to three grown-up children and have over 15 years professional experience in education as a specialist teaching assistant.
I aim to provide a loving environment similar to that provided for my own children and therefore we always have outdoor time, trips to play groups as well as visits to the library and parks. In addition, I offer a wide range of developmental and play activities to support and stimulate a child's development. I am perfectly positioned for school and nursery pick-ups and drop-offs at St John's school, Raymoth Lane and Gateford Park, offering wrap-around care. I have current Paediatric First Aid Certificate and have undertaken training in Safeguarding Children and Delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Term time childcare is a real financial bonus.
Rated 5 out of 5Penny provides a homely atmosphere and genuine care for my son. I always leave him knowing he feels safe and secure and enjoys the array of activities Penny plans. I work in a school and so the added bonus with Penny is that I only pay for term time. This has saved me a significant amount of money! I cannot recommend this childminder enough.
Home from home childcare
Rated 5 out of 5Penny offers high quality childcare for term time in a home from home environment. Our son has been going since he was 9 months old. Penny did everything to make us feel happy and secure leaving him those first few days and often sends pictures to update and of course keep mum happy! He is now just over 2 and is absolutely thriving in Penny’s care. There are such a variety of activities both indoor and outdoor helping to support his development in each area. Nothing is too much trouble for Penny and she is so flexible regarding pick up and drop off time. We can not recommend Penny highly enough and feel so thankful we found her.
