Age UK Notts - Secondary Falls Prevention Service

Have you tripped or fallen in the last year? Exercise could help you!

Age UK Notts Secondary Falls Prevention Service offers safe and effective exercise classes for the over 60’s who live in Nottingham North and East area. This service is being provided in partnership with Nottingham North & East Clinical Commissioning Group.

Exercise classes are free of charge (if you're eligible) and are delivered by a qualified and experienced postural stability instructor who can help the over 60’s stay independent and active for longer, improve their balance and strength, increase their confidence and help them prevent future falls and injuries.

In essence, these classes feature both standing and seated exercises that are appropriate and safe for older people and the instructor will help them improve their strength and balance, posture and coordination, and enable them to feel more confident about their daily activities. These classes will also give the over 60’s the opportunity to enjoy themselves and to meet new people, whilst improving their fitness, strength and balance in a supportive environment, and participating at a level that is comfortable for them. Classes will be held weekly and are delivered in 12-week blocks.

Classes held in Arnold, Calverton, Carlton, Hucknall and Netherfield.  Please telephone for details.

Other areas are available, please contact for more information.
