- Description
Newark Academy is a fully comprehensive secondary school for students aged 11 - 18 years.
Newark Academy has a very clear ethos focused on the achievement and wellbeing of all our students.
We believe that a school should be at the very heart of the community and place great value on collaboration, partnership and service alongside a range of core values that compliment academic excellence.
We are very proud of our school and value the achievements of all students. The school is committed to inclusion and feel privileged to have a diverse community within our school. Understanding individual and cultural differences is central to the school ethos. It is evident within the school environment, the curriculum and most of all, within the students themselves. Staff, parents and governors work hard to provide a stimulating environment in which your child can feel secure, happy and motivated.
The learning environment is tailored to meet the needs of all students. This includes an ambitious curriculum, designed to engage and challenge our students.
Practical experiences and opportunities have become central to the curriculum for all students. This includes curriculum workshops, theatre company visits and off site visits. We are confident that our students have access to a broad, balanced and exciting range of learning opportunities.
Links with the community are valued and beneficial to all students. We are committed to ensuring that our students become equipped with the necessary skills to be responsible and considerate members of the community.
