Imogen Barnett - Immy's House

I am a qualified and experienced teacher, I have been childminding for 10 years and am passionate about the early years.  I have 3 children of my own and I look after my minded children as I would want my own children looking after.

I have a lovely home with a large playroom and garden.  I am warm, relaxed and caring and my minded children are part of the family. Our days are varied and exciting, we visit a range of places regularly- Clumber Park, Wheelgate, Rufford, Tiny Town, Sherwood Pines and many more. I believe children need lots of outside play and to be free to explore and investigate. Your child WILL return home with paint, mud, grass, cornflour etc on them! Building confidence and expertise is important, and children are encouraged to follow their ideas and be proud of all they achieve. Building relationships is central to my approach, this is a place where children are loved and respected and where we respect and care for each other. We have time to play at home too, I have a wide variety of activities that are planned with your child’s interests and fascinations in mind. Most importantly though, this is a family home and while your child is here they are a part of my family.

5* Service

My little girl is 4 and started going to Imogens in september when she started full time school and she loves going. Milly is always busy with activities that Imogen arranges with the children. She takes them to the park on their way home from school or to the soft play area as a treat. She is always bringing things home that she has made at Imogens house. Imogen is a brillaint childminder to my little girl and i feel like i am leaving her with a friend when i drop her off which is perfect for me as i work full time. I would recommend Imogen to anyone who is looking for a childminder- its a really friendly atmosphere everytime we are there and she couldnt do enough. 5* service all the time.

My little girl has been in the care of Imogen for over a year and could not be happier. She has grown socially and enjoys all the community groups Imogen involves the children in. She thrives on learning from the different age groups she is exposed to as part of being under Imogens care.

Imogen is flexible which is perfect for me as I work unpredictable shifts, and additional working hours are always accomodated as required. The Barnett family offer a loving and welcoming approach to a professonal service. They never fail to make my little girl feel part of a whole unit.

Both my children were minded by Imogen. They loved it. They were made to feel part of the family and given many experiences, from messy play, to trips out to local places of interest, to soft play, to (structured) free play at 'home'. I could go to work knowing my kids were safe and happy and cared for. Imogen is a gem and any child lucky enough to be minded by her will be all the better for it.

Perfect for your little people

I honestly could not speak highly enough Of the care provided by Immy, I was dreading returning to education and having to leave my baby anywhere but from day one Immy has provided him with such a loving , caring and nurturing environment that he has just flourished during the two years she has cared for him. Immy ensures the children have a very varied  and active day and provides the children with the skills to be confident and respectful of others whilst  making everything fun and exciting ! Immys house is a lovely home from home I would

highly recommend

Imogen has looked after both of my children. They love going and it's like a home from home My son has speech delay and Imogen has been great working with him and keeping me up to date with his progress. I have definitely felt comfortable knowing my children have been well looked after.

A friendly 'Home from home' childminding experience

From the onset, I knew and felt confident that my daughter was in the best care when she started at Immy's Childminding. The childminder Imogen, found out interests, likes, dislikes etc before Ellie started and made sure these needs were met 100% on every day that she went during the time she attended. Imogen was always so welcoming, calm and reassuring at drop offs and she would always message to let me know how Ellie had settled, sent pictures throughout the day and was always happy to share what they had been doing during the day at pick ups. Most days my little one would come home with creations that they had been busy making, baking, painting, crafts and even a gift at Christmas! Imogen and her family are the loveliest of people and they are all so very well mannered, inviting and interested in the children they care for. It's like you fit into part of their family! The only reason we not longer attend is due to the Corona Virus and it changing my families circumstances, but I can guarantee we will be back as soon as possible!! I would recommend Immy's Childminding 100% because it really is like a 'Home from Home' experience.
