We are open Monday 9am to 3.15pm, Tuesday 9am to 3.15pm, Wednesday 9am to 3.15pm and Thursday 9am to 12 and Friday 9am to 3.15pm.
We are a small team of 6, all staff are qualified to level 3 and above in Early Years Education/Care and all hold Pediatric first aid certificates and have specialist training in areas such as Supporting Early Language, Mental Health and Wellbeing etc.. . The two Owner/Managers work within provision, one holds a Early Years degree the other holds an NNEB. Both have over 40yrs experience between them. We work closely with Nottingham Trent University and have a member of staff completing her Early Years Teacher Training. We have a very experienced Special Educational Needs Officer who is also part of the management team who monitors and assess children's learning to make sure they are at the required level. We work closely with parents and outside agencies to make sure children get the best possible start to their learning and development. Staff are highly experienced in Child Education & development and this was highlighted in our recent Ofsted.
We provide an environment rich in open ended resources that encourage children's natural awe and wonder. Creating an environment that is rich in learning and enabling children to reach their full potential. Our highly professional staff team work as keyworkers to small groups of children and assess and plan for their individual learning and development. They will keep you informed on a termly basis as to your child's development and we hold yearly parent consultations to discuss your child's learning and development. Our staff will also support families to enhance their child's learning at home with targets or sign posting to other services.
Children come to us with all varying levels of ability and we work with their interests to develop their learning. We provide activities that stimulate children's creativity and imagination, as well as supporting their problem solving skills and curiosity for the world in which they live.

Childcare Information and Additional Needs
Settling In
- How will you help children to settle into your setting?
- We do home visits in the summer term to meet the children in their familiar surroundings. We also have a new starters day when all the new children who will be starting in the September come together with their parents. Both parents and children get to spend time with their child's keyworker who will support and discuss with you, your child's transition to Pre-school and complete any paperwork with you for registration . We have an online system that parents can access to ask any questions to their child's keyworker. The keyworkers will also keep parents informed as to how your child is settling in and send you pictures of them within provision so you can see their devlopment.
Progress
- How will you communicate with parents/carers about their child's progress?
- We have an online system that is password protected in which each parent can access their child's educational record. Staff will send information through this as to your child's development and will explain how you can support their next steps. You will also be able to add to this with any things your child does or achieves outside of Pre-school and add anything you would like your child to learn about. We have yearly parent updates with parents. These can be in person, by phone, webchat or by sending you a report. We also observe and assess your child's development and send a report via our online learning journal.
