Gemma Warrener - Little Gem's Childminding
I am a Ofsted registered Childminder.
I have been in childcare for 14 years working in an Early years setting at a Catholic school as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant.
I live with my Husband who is a Butcher at our local Morrison’s and we have been married for 7 years.
We have three cats who love to sleep all day upstairs or in the sun outside.
I offer a large playroom with activities for all ages and stages of development. My setting has a nice balance of everyday objects to play with and explore and toys. Children in my care will learn through play!
I love to plan messy play activities and being outside.
We have a national trust pass, so we will be exploring all of the time.
I received Makaton training last year, so I love to sign.
I currently hold paediatric FirstAid certificate.

Childcare Information and Additional Needs
Settling In
- How will you help children to settle into your setting?
- We offer settling in sessions for you and your child. You offer activities and experiences around their interests and development to help settle them in. We provide a happy and safe environment, our children settle in well and quickly. Children feel like part of our family and we include pictures of their family and pets in our home corner for them to explore.
Progress
- How will you communicate with parents/carers about their child's progress?
- We use Tapestry which parents have their own personal login where they can see their child’s daily dairy, observations and any policies and procedures. We also share all of the statutory and non-statutory documents needed for our setting. We also have a WhatsApp group set up for each family, where I share photos, information and next steps.
