Framework - Russell House

Russell House, located near the centre of Newark, provides high quality accommodation and support for up to 15 single homeless people in the form of self-contained studio flats. Staff, who are on the premises 24 hours a day, provide residents with the support and advice they need to address their problems and plan positively for the future.

By providing outside links to life-enhancing training, education and volunteering opportunities the service helps people along a journey away from homelessness and towards independent living. The maximum stay allowed is two years, but further support is made available to people once they have move on. 

What we are doing

Russell House is preventing homelessness in the short term by providing high quality, stable accommodation to those in the greatest need. Just as importantly it is preventing entrenched social exclusion in the long term.

Above all Russell House provides much more than merely a bed for the night; it provides a solid and supported base from which homeless people can begin their recovery with dignity and security, and plan for the rest of their lives.

Self or agency referrals are accepted. Please phone or call in (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm) for an application form, which is to be completed by the applicant and/or the referral agency prior to interview. A risk assessment is required.
