Here at Mansfield Vicar Water we have recently had a fantastic refurbishment both indoors and outdoors. Our garden has been transformed into an magneficiant area for children to learn and play outside, with the garden being a huge highlight for our exisiting parents. We are also a forest school for Pre-School children meaning there is even more enjoyment and learning to be had outdoors, here at Mansfield Vicar Water Busy Bees.
Most of our parents come from nearby residential estates but those travelling can make use of Mansfield Woodhouse train station, a short ten minute drive away and with East Midlands Train services through to Nottingham. There are bus stops outside the nursery on either side of the road with local routes and the main bus terminal is located in Mansfield, approximately 10-15 minutes by car.

Outstanding Nursery
Rated 5 out of 5We have been using Treetops Vicar Water Day Nursery for the past 4 years. My son started when he was one year old, and my daughter when she was six months old.
They do a varied amount of activities, structured and free play. The outdoor play space is amazing, and with them being only a short walk from Vicar Water park they often go for walks there to play on the park, and look at nature. In the spring it was Lambs on the farm, and in winter they observe the changes and collect leaves, acorns and build houses from sticks and twigs.
The nursery does not have a high turn over of staff. Which in my eyes is fantastic. I didn't want my children to go to a nursery where there was staff leaving as soon as my children got used to them for them to then get to know another memeber of staff, and then they leave too.
My son has recently started school, and feel 100% happy that he was well prepared for starting school. Before starting school he was fantastic at counting, he knew his alphabet and letters, and could write and recognise his name, as well as some of his friends names too. He recognised sounds, and was able to tell us what letter a word began with when spoken.
At the end of each day I always get a detailed diary sheet of what they have been doing that day, what they have had to eat, and how much of it they had eaten and the times, and lengths of their naps.
The nursery take lots of pictures of the children when they're playing and doing activities which they put in their individual folders which is brilliant to look through.
A am 110% happy with the nursery we have used and would highly recomend it to other parents.
