Framework - Sherwood Street Centre
The Sherwood Street Centre offers 15 units of high quality emergency accommodation in Mansfield for people who have either been sleeping rough or at immediate risk of doing so. The service, which accommodates some of the most vulnerable people in our society, is staffed 24 hours a day and is designed to help residents along a journey to independent living in the community. Each of them is supported to learn vital new skills, to get help and treatment for any problems they may have, and to explore future employment and training options.
What we are doing
Rough sleeping is dangerous and potentially life-threatening. If this accommodation did not exist then more people would be sleeping rough – in tents, in alleyways, in cars and in abandoned buildings. But The Sherwood Street Centre provides much more than merely a bed for the night; it provides a solid and supported base from which homeless people can begin their recovery with dignity and security, and plan for the rest of their lives.
Contact and referral process
Self or agency referrals are accepted for the accommodation service. Please phone or call in for an application form. The form must be completed by the applicant and/or the referral agency prior to the interview. A risk assessment is also required.
