Toddlers' University - Beeston
Toddlers' University Children's Day Nursery offers first-class, quality, flexible childcare and preschool education in Beeston, Nottingham to children aged 3 months to 8 years.
Located very close to Beeston town centre next to the Middle Street tram stop and just a few minutes walk from Tesco Extra and Broadgate Park, at the top of Lower Regent Street, Toddlers’ University is easily accessible with ample on and off-street parking adjacent to the nursery.
We offer up to 15 or 30 hours of free (government funded) hours per week all year round depending on age and eligibility. Free hours can be taken throughout the year over the 51 weeks in which we are open or can be taken just over the 38 term-time weeks of the year. Hours in excess of the free entitlement as well as a 2 course cooked lunch and afternoon tea can be purchased separately.
Our staff are fully qualified practitioners in early-years education up to university degree level with over 50 years’ combined experience. Some staff have achieved the coveted 'Early Years Professional' status.
We are specialists in early years care and education operating in small group sizes as low as 2 or 3 children to 1 practitioner, from 7.30am to 6.00pm from Monday to Friday all year round excluding public holidays and Christmas week when we are closed.
Delicious home-cooked healthy meals, snacks and drinks are prepared to the highest standards, with a 5* food hygiene rating, and served on the premises by Ruth, our in-house cook, using nutritious ingredients. We cater for specific dietary requirements and all allergies.
Toddlers’ University Beeston enjoys a huge, 60 sq.m, separate physical soft play area enabling us to offer physical play to all children in all weather conditions all year round.
Our educational provision is based on the early years foundation stage of the national curriculum and each child's current developmental level is assessed in all areas through observation. Each child's individual development is recorded and 'next steps' are set with planned activities to ensure each child makes steady development. Each child has their own learning journey recording their development during their time with us at nursery and these are given to parents/carers when the child leaves the nursery. At the end of the year/term we hold a Toddlers’ University Graduation Ceremony (complete with cap and gown), when we present the graduating children with a certificate, a small gift, a graduation yearbook with photos, and their learning journey. Parents/carers enjoy this time to reflect on their child's time at nursery and their future – it is a day of mixed emotions for all of the staff and children!
The nursery is rated 'Good' by Ofsted... come and visit us to see why!
We run a weekly Parent and Toddler group usually on a Monday afternoon in our super soft play area, which offers a good opportunity for any Mum or Dad to drop in with their baby or toddler for a few hours of informal fun and play with tea or coffee (small cover charge applies).
