R.E.A.L. Independent Schools offer full-time school placements for youngsters with complex additional needs.
We aim to provide a service that meet the needs of children and young people who are particularly hard to place, and for whom traditional avenues of engagement have been exhausted. Our school placements are part of the range of services offered by R.E.A.L. Education Ltd., who have delivered bespoke alternative education packages to local authorities and schools since 2008.

Funded placements will require approval by the Local Authority. You are advised to contact the Education, Health and Care Plan Co-ordinator who has been involved with your child, in the first instance, if you wish to consider a placement at an independent/non-maintained special school.

In our work we have committed to Rethink Engagement and Approaches to Learning; this requires experienced staff dedicated to going the extra mile. Children and young people with complex and challenging needs require the care and support of a professional team equipped to handle exceptional demands that arise from special educational needs, behaviour management and attendance issues.
Our staff support model includes training in the management of behaviour, safeguarding, knowledge of special educational needs and risk management as well as access to specialists such as psychologists and advisory teachers.
