R.E.A.L. Education Support and Intervention
R.E.A.L. Education has been providing personalised, bespoke provision to support young people since 2008. We offer innovative and holistic support to re-engage young people in education. This support is flexible to meet the needs of the young person, and may be a short term intervention or a long term placement. We pride ourselves on building strong partnerships with the learner and their family and review progress with them and commissioners frequently to ensure their needs are being met. We support young people with or without an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
We offer up to 18 hours per week of support to learners from schools/colleges who are struggling within their current setting or who are without a school place. Some learners are on roll at one of our schools, commissioned by local authorities. We have demonstrated expertise in supporting young people with the complete range of difficulties, but the majority of our learners have primary areas of need within these categories;
- Communication and Interaction
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties including attachment difficulties
- Anxiety Related Needs
We have 19 hubs across the East Midlands and are developing further provision all the time. Our current developments include specialist provision for primary aged pupils and learners with anxiety related needs and training support for school based colleagues.
We offer these services to young people;
- Support within the current school/college.
- Individual tutoring in a learner’s home.
- Individual and small group nurture/engagement activities in one of our hubs or alternative community setting.
- Individual and small group academic learning in one of our hubs or alternative community setting.
- Vocational group learning in adventure, catering, construction, creative digital, land-based studies, mechanics, music and sports in our hubs.
At Key Stage 4 and Post-16 learners are supported to achieve appropriate accreditation through Entry Level, GCSE, BTEC, Aim Awards and A-Level.
Transport to venues can be provided subject to agreement with the commissioner.
