Wowâ¦.........The Mill Adventure Base
Rated 5 out of 5Wow…..we recently spent a few hours at The Mill Adventure Base as part of a new short breaks provisions and over the weekend our two boys spent the day with Owen and Jake. How welcoming and reassuring it was for us all as a family, to speak and work with professionals who, to put it simply, ‘get’ our boys and their unique outlook in life. From zip wires to forest school, it has it all for our adventurous two who simply struggle with the being indoors. Their first full session was spent challenging themselves on the climbing wall, with them tackling their fear of heights head on, both making huge leaps in confidence and how great it was to see and hear Owen and Jake (camp leaders) mentoring the boys on their first of many challenges. The afternoon was spent on the lake working as a team in a raft…..they where buzzing and cannot wait until their next visit…………..we must add, they spelt well that night.
As mentioned, zip wires to forest school, tunnelling to climbing walls to kayaking on the lake, huge fun for anyone who loves a challenge.
Thank you Jake and Owen and Nottinghshire County Council for providing so many fantastic opportunities for our boys…….and not forgetting, mum and dad.
