Short break adventures for adults with additional support needs
The Adventure Service provides multiple Adult Short Breaks a year, each running from Friday evening until Sunday evening, for adults and teenagers with learning disabilities. Each Short Break has an outdoor theme such as canoeing, caving, bushcraft or rock climbing.
Accommodation is dormitory style (or camping in the summer months). Everyone who attends is supported to help with tasks such as food preparation and cleaning up! This develops our clients living independence skills and social skills.
Adventurers who attend our Day Service plan the menu, resources and the activities in the weeks leading up to the visit.
