Rhubarb Farm C.I.C.
Rhubarb Farm is a horticultural social enterprise, providing supported work placements, training and volunteering opportunities for people with long-term needs - ex-offenders, drug and alcohol misusers, people with mental and physical ill health, people with learning and physical disabilities, school pupils excluded or struggling with their behaviour at school and people with dementia. Everyone who comes to the Farm is called a volunteer, and gets involved in whatever work is needed. We welcome everyone, no matter what their needs or abilities and we provide different levels of support depending on need. Every volunteer is taking part in productive, practical activities with a purpose, and is thus being economically active in the community as well as joining a friendship network.
We provide a variety of activities, both outdoors and under cover, doing gardening, woodwork, construction, landscaping, customer service and crafts. We provide informal and formal learning opportunities, on site, and with no pressure. We run various groups like a mental health support group, a Book Club and a Rhubarb Readers group. We run a charity shop and have a garden maintenance team which does work locally for private individuals and local authorities. We keep chickens and pigs. We run a daily social eating cafe and on Mondays a Community Cafe for older people to come and enjoy a very good value meal and the friendship of others. We hold events and special training courses, which all volunteers are welcome to participate in.
We own a minibus and collect from Mansfield and Worksop every week.

- Referral Details
We accept referrals from family, friends, workers, organisations and self-referrals. We accept referrals by email, phone and our Facebook page.
All referrals should be to Debbie Martin, Volunteer Co-ordinator. debbie@rhubarbfarm.co.uk Tel. 01623-741-210. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Rhubarb-Farm/222740847792024
Debbie will then set up a first meeting and tour of the site for the new volunteer. We would ask that referrals do not turn up on site unannounced, because of our busy schedule out on site with other volunteers. We need to plan our meetings!
