Hucknall Leisure Centre

Hucknall Leisure Centre features all the facilities you’d expect from a modern, well-equipped sports centre. The gym features more than 100 pieces of the latest equipment, while the three new group fitness studios will offer classes that are suited to just about everyone.

Hucknall are proud to offer Everyone Active's award-winning swimming lessons now in both the main pool and newly built teaching pool. The six-lane, 25m traditional pool with a moveable floor will also be hosting all swimming events, inflatable sessions, aqua classes and general swims while the teaching pool will also hold additional family fun sessions for everyone to enjoy.

Meanwhile the sports hall offers a variety of activities, including basketball, badminton and five-a-side football. Elsewhere, they also have squash courts available for hire, as well as a food and beverage area. You can even hold children’s birthday parties at Hucknall Leisure Centre.

The Leisure centre holds the Inclusive fitness initiative accredited to staff and equipment to ensure access to fitness for people with disabilities.

The Centre has fully accessible showers and changing facilities.

Disability Sports Opportunities

Boccia is a game for all, it is similar to French Boules and Petangue. It is a target game aiming to get as many of your Boccia balls as close to the jack ball as possible to beat your opponent . All players play sat down, and the ball can be propelled in anyway, rolled, thrown, kicked, rolled using a ramp or head pointer.

The Ashfield Boccia Leagues run throughout the year [term time]. There are leagues at Hucknall Leisure and The Lammas Leisure Centre. Teams compete every Friday 12.30pm - 2.30pm. Click here for more details.
