Hello my name is Emma and I am a registered Childminder, I have been married to Barny for 18 years and we have 3 children aged 24, 18 and 10 years old. Having used childcare providers, I understand that trusting the care of your child to someone else is one of the biggest decisions you will make. I offer a warm and welcoming child centered environment, with a dedicated playroom that has direct access into our enclosed garden.
Prior to childminding I have nursed within the NHS for 21 years. I have a passion for helping others and I strive to make a difference to children's lives. I know from experience that children learn best when in a safe and supportive environment. I provide a safe and happy setting that enables our little people to achieve their learning potential. My school catchment areas are Alderman Pounder Infant School & Eskdale Junior School.

Emma's childcare
Rated 5 out of 5Although a new childcare provider, Emma's childcare impressed me right from my first visit. The setting Emma provides is clean, bright and well thought out, with a wide variety of stimulating toys and equipment for all ages. She provides for a range of activities, from quiet, indoor spaces to creative areas and outdoor space. Emma herself is welcoming, and very caring in the way she talks to and looks after the children. My daughter felt welcomed and important in her first visit, and came home announcing that she was scoring Emma 10/10! I felt confident leaving my daughter, knowing that she was going to be well looked after in my absence. I was also very impressed with Emma's attention to detail in the welcoming booklet and contract that she gave me.
