The Sky Badger website offers lots of support and advice around days out, activities and holidays for children and young people with disabilities. They also operate a helpdesk: Tel: 0845 609 1256 (open 10am-1pm Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays)

Setting up Your Own Group

If you are interested in setting up your own community group, or would like to take your voluntary work to the next level please get in touch with the Council's community and voluntary sector team on 0115 977 3415. The community and voluntary sector team can offer support with various aspects of running a group including writing a constitution, advice on policies, meetings, preparing accounts and budgeting. They can also support you to access relevant sources of funding, such as grants, to help you turn your ambitions for your community into reality.
