Perthyn (Supported Living)

COVID 19 Update: please see up to date information on the website home page, the link for this can found below.

Perthyn is a registered charity that provides support to individuals with a diagnosis of autism and a learning disability across both Wales and England.

Locally in Nottinghamshire we deliver Supported Living to individuals in the various districts that cover Nottinghamshire. Perthyn first began providing services in the East Midlands in 2009 as part of the hospital/campus re-provision for the region.

A number of individuals that we support have a range of behaviour that can challenge for that reason we work closely with our Specialist Support Services that provide support, advice and guidance on suitable approaches that will enable individuals to live as independently as possible within their communities.

We are committed to using the “Active Support Model” as we believe no matter what complexities maybe presented as a result of the person’s disability individuals can make a valuable contribution to their own life and the community in which they live with the support from specially trained staff.

We work with a range of housing associations that provide quality accommodation and the support provided by Perthyn staff is to enable to individuals to become tenants.
